Haven’t you seen Selena Gomez’s new tattoo yet? Hint: it has nothing to do with Justin

Romantic messages, as a tribute to remember their pets, in honor of their loved ones and even as an excuse to spend the most fun afternoon with friends, tattoos have become one more fashion among actresses, models and celebrities. From Kaia Gerber’s minimalist style collection to the most daring ones like Brooklym Beckham’s, which has the look of his fiancée etched on his skin, and even the most mysterious, like the date that Ana de Armas tattooed herself in Roman numerals, there are many and many who have joined this trend. A way to send a message to the world, record moments or stories on her skin or simply for pure aesthetics. Precisely, this weekend Selena Gomez added a new design to her collection, and today we are going to tell you its meaning.

The meaning of Selena’s latest tattoo

Since the singer put an end to her relationship with Justin Bieber, there have been many messages and references that have been found in her songs and her publications in her networks. One of the most outstanding, the video clip in which she turned the singer and Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd) into toads. Even some of the couple’s followers have found connections between one of Hailey Baldwin’s tattoos and Justin and Selena’s relationship. However, the latest design that the actress and singer has engraved on her skin has nothing to do with her former partner, but rather with her religious beliefs.

The design in question is a small cross drawn in black with a very fine line, which the singer wanted to place on her left clavicle. Selena has entrusted Keith Scott, Bang Bang Tattoo artist, for this new design, which adds to a collection of 15 tattoos, all of them in a minimalist key and many by the same tattoo artist. The first one, a musical note that she placed in her right hand in honor of her passion for music.

That was followed by a few more, like a letter “G” in honor of his sister Gracie, the name of his latest album “Rare” and the most striking of all, which he placed on his left leg: two hands as a prayer of which hung a rosary, in honor of his Christian faith. This time the meaning of the cross seems to follow the same line, and the singer has declared herself a believer on more than one occasion. “I just want to make it clear that I love being able to have faith, and believe in what I believe, and that is really what helps me move forward,” she told an American media last March.
